You can't reach greater rift X unless you're paragon level Y because of the stat points you can allocate - infinitely - into main stats. The reason it's causing backlash is because of how it affects the rankings on greater rifts. The paragon IDEA is good, the implementation is terrible. There is a reason why even Blizzard officialy said that they have to take a look into paragon leveling in D4 due to the backlash it's causing in community. If you don't get it I won't be the one explaining it to you. I'm actually one of the guys that enjoy D3 for what it is but infinite progression system (paragon) is NEVER good. But the Paragonlevels and later the legendary gems in Diablo 3 also allowed characters to progress indefinitely.ĭude. Thats why seasons eventually got implemented, to simulate constant progress. ![]() Nothing else to do than creating a new character. You reach max level, equip yourself full legendary and thats it. Arpgs need an everlasting progression or else it will stagnate, like in Titan Quest, Grim Dawn and currently Wolcen.
